This is a relatively flat, well-grassed, meandering course, interspersed with shady stretches and open country. Events from 500 metres to 1000 metres are run clockwise within the confines of the newly-developed entertainment precinct.
For races further than 1000 metres, both a 1500 metre loop and a 2000 metre loop (anti-clockwise) are utilised. These two loops are a mix of open/shaded stretches adjacent to the South Pine River and the lagoon. Mosquitos and Bindii can be encountered in some sections near the river.
This course is used by both Brisbane North and Pine Rivers Primary School Districts for their Championships.
Toilets and a well-equipped children's playground are available within the park.
