Apart from the first 250 metres and the final 300 metres of the main 2000 metre loop, this course is flat. Another of the anti-clockwise courses with inner 500, 800, 1000 and 1500 metre loops, it circumnavigates a large lagoon on the flat section and does several bikeway crossings. The bikeway is lightly trafficked.
The running surface on the elevated section is well-grassed, as are the flats, which can become waterlogged during heavy rain.
There is a picnic area, play area and the toilets are earth closets. The park entrance is accessible via Stanton Road West (off Wynnum Road, then Graystone Street). It is a short distance from the Wynnum Road exit of the Gateway Motorway.
Travelling times from the the northside are relatively short - 30 minutes from Kallangur along the Gateway Motorway and 25 minutes from Chermside via the Clem 7 tunnel.
For those travelling south using the Gateway Motorway, take the Wynnum Road exit, turn right under the motorway and then take your first left into Graystone Street. Turn right into Stanton Road West and follow this road around to the Parkland.
For those travelling south using the Clem 7 Tunnel or Story Bridge, take the Shafston Avenue / Lytton Road exit, continue on to Wynnum Road and follow it through. Just before the Gateway Motorway, turn right into Graystone Street and then right again into Stanton Road West and follow this road around to the Parkland.
