Currently the most northern course in Brisbane, with a maximum loop of 1500 metres which circumnavigates the lagoon in an anti-clockwise direction. 500, 800 and 1000 metre clockwise loops branch off to the right and return roughly parallel to the outbound and cross the finish line in a southerly direction.
In races utilising the major loop and a minor loop, the minor loop is run last. In races utilising just the 1500 metre loop, competitors cross the finish line in a northerly direction. A bikeway has to be contended with in the latter half of this loop.
This is a well-shaded location generally, with a toilet block, picnic facilities and small children's playground. It is suggested that visitors bring insect repellent as mosquitoes can be a nuisance at this venue.
