Qld All Schools Cross Country Championship

A great lead-up to district and regional school cross country trials, which then lead to Qld School Sport representative opportunities, at a well-proven and highly-rated cross country venue.

• True cross country course of undulating terrain, with no sharp turns or water crossings, designed to provide fair and equitable competition.
• Abundant off-street parking available.
• $5 entry fee for runners from 5 - 9 years of age.
• A share of entry fees and the day's proceeds will go towards supporting young athletes in the Queensland School Sport system.

Queensland School Sport Team Selection

Selection for Qld School Sport representative cross country teams, for students aged 10-19 years, occurs through the Qld School Sport cross country state championship events.

Please note that in 2015, the School Sport State Championship will be a combined 10-19 years Championship.

This event will be held on 19-20 July at Runaway Bay Sports Complex- hosted by South Coast School Sport Region.

Anzac Day

Round 7 - Anzac Park, Toowong


The Anzac Day round is always a special one for Queensland Running. A short service will be held before the first event, and weekly entry fees will be donated to the Veterans Support and Advocacy Service Australia.

Please note that this event has the full support of the various veterans groups and the Brisbane City Council.


Due to the large number of competitors currently participating in our weekly events, please aim to arrive approximately 30-45 minutes before the start time for your event to give yourself enough time to enter and walk the course.


To avoid queuing at the registration tent:

* email your entry by 9am Saturday (visit the Weekly Entries page for more details)

* run first and then register after your run (for those who already have running numbers only)

2000th Season Finisher

The 2000th season finisher crossed the line in Round 6 at 7th Brigade Park. The identity of the runner will be revealed when the results for this round are finalised.

The winner will receive one of our commemorative Queensland Running aluminium water bottles.

 

Moreton Mongrel - 2 May 2015

Please consider supporting The Moreton Mongrel, the first ever extreme adventure race to be held on Tangalooma Island Resort and Moreton Island.

Volunteer Program 2015

** Urgently needed ** course marking assistance from 11am - 1pm for each round, course marshalls during the program and registration tent assistance.

With the ever increasing number of runners attending our weekly events, we require volunteers to assist with the following tasks each week:

* course marking
* assisting runners with the nomination process
* receiving weekly nominations, including weekly fees
* recording race finishes
* course marshalls out on the course

Volunteers can assist for as little as half an hour.

Please consider acting as a volunteer official at our weekly events during the 2015 season. Great incentives are available.

Data Collection

We are now collecting dates of birth for each runner, as well as family email addresses. Please include this information with your weekly entry.

This information only needs to be collected once, so if you have provided it in a previous email entry, or on a weekly entry form, there is no need to provide it again.

 




Need a Re-Printed Running Number?

Please email Anne Scott with your name and number if you require a re-printed number for the 2015 season.

Please note that numbers will only be re-printed once each season. If a further re-print is required, then a fee will be charged.
